"You just ran off so suddenly Vincent...I got worried so I...I followed you." Yuffie said softly. She felt guilty for following him like that: She knew that what he did on his own was none of her business. "I sort of bumped into Cloud...and he helped me find you here." She sighed and ran her fingers nervously through her dark brown hair. "I just wanted to know why you left I mean, everyone was just about to eat, and I know you're not exactly the social type...but it was just strange for you to just leave..at least it seemed strange to me.."

Vincent felt an unfamiliar feeling wash over him...Was it guilt? Looking back at Yuffie's nervous face made him cringe. He feelt guilty for putting her through that much worry. He was so unaccustomed to having someone actually care about what he did that he was uncertain of how to react in a situation like this. Yuffie seemed to have been genuinely worried about it, and he hadn't the slightest clue why. What could he do for her? In the end, he would only bring her pain.
Getting to his feet slowly, Vincent leaped off the gargoyle, landing in front of Cloud and Yuffie. Smiling slightly, Vincent softly said,
"I can see why you would be worried. I hold you at no fault for following, your curiousity is normal...And to answer your question, I left because I needed to get away and feed." Vincent wasn't sure if Yuffie would fully understand his words, but he knew without a doubt that Cloud would understand him. Catching Cloud's blue gaze in his own crimson one, Vincent silently told the younger man his deeds from the previous night. He had nothing to hide from the blonde man; he already knew what he was and what exactly that entailed.

"F..feed?" Yuffie was confused and afraid now. She didn't want to really think of what Vincent meant by that...because the way he used the word had seemed to scare her half to death. "But...there seemed to be plenty of food over at that nice girl's house.." She felt stupid saying that, but it was the first thing that she could think of..it was the only sentence that she could come up with that kept her from asking if he was a horrible creature like the elders of her village told tales about. The tales that used to keep her awake at night..they all seemed to flood back again as She watched the tall man in red with her wide eyes that began to well thick tears that begged to break free.

Vincent noted the tears welling up in Yuffie's eyes. He felt bad for having to tell her this and shatter her illusions of him, but it had to be done. If she stayed around him, she would inevitably get hurt. Sighing deeply, he began,
"Yes, I said 'feed'. I don't require to eat normal food. Like I told you, Yuffie, I am a monster. I am no longer human and I do not require the same necessities as you to live."

Yuffie couldn't bring herself to say anything. She knew what this meant: The man she thought she loved wasn't really a man, but a bloodthirsty creature that could kill her at any time. She didn't want to think about it. She didn't want to believe it was true. She ran into his arms and hugged him tightly, sobbing into his blood red coat. She wanted him to be normal so that she wouldn't have to worry. She didn't want the nightmares to come back. She didn't want to lose him because of what he was...but it seemed like something like that couldn't be stopped. So she just squeezed him tighter and cried even harder until the tears couldn't come and she was too tired to force more out. She felt as though she wanted to go home, to forget everything and get back to her old life, but she knew she couldn't do it. Not now, not ever.

Squeezed tightly, as if he were the last solid thing in her world, Vincent was stunned into silence by Yuffie's actions.
He expected her to be appalled, terrified, possibly even enraged, but he never could have imagined this reaction. She held him close to her, as if once she let go, he would be gone forever. He could feel the salty wetness of her tears soaking through his coat to dampen his skin.
Maybe he was wrong in believing he could scare her away. Maybe she was the one person who could actually accept him for what he was, the one person who would know all of his sins and love him anyway. Vincent was unsure of anything at that moment. Her tight embrace scattered all coherent thoughts. He had learned from his past that nobody can ever truly be trusted, that all he would ever have is himself, but for some reason when she held him like this, he knew that all of his prior thoughts were wrong. If only he would let her know him in whole, he would be able to trust her.
A small part of him was aware of the developing feelings for the small girl, but the rest of him was so unused to the affectionate feeling, that it simply confused him.
So, letting that small part of his mind take over, Vincent wrapped his arms around her waist, careful not to stab her with his claws, and held her equally as tight as her embrace. In some unknown way, he knew he needed her. She kept him from losing himself, giving in to the demons he housed within him. She gave him hope that he was in fact capable of loving another.
Vincent moved his unclawed hand delecately to her hair and stroked it gently. He leaned down slightly and whispered in her ear,
"I am so sorry to ruin your image of me, but it had to be done. It wouldn't be right if you fell in love with only one side of a man, never knowing his other nature. But believe me when I say this, I would never harm you."

"I..I still love you.." Yuffie whispered softly. "I need you to be there for me..and i'll be there for you as long as you don't leave me." She became silent as she rested against Vincent's shoulder; the exhaustion that came from crying so hard for so long had begun to settle over her. She reached a hand up and gripped his shoulder, raising her head just so that she could stare into his eyes.
"Promise me you won't leave..."

((Sorry...I kinda foirgot to login....))
Vincent met Yuffie's eyes with his own eerie ones.
"You have my word of honour that I will not leave you." Vincent made no move to relocate her hand, though he noted the way her body shook from exhaustion. Turning his head slightly, his gaze fell back on the blonde.
"Cloud, have you done anything to Tifa to make her angry with you again? I want to take Yuffie there to meat her, and it seems she has had a long day and is in desperate need for rest. If it is not any trouble, do you mind taking us to Seventh Heaven?" He asked quietly, yet in a way, he was not asking at all; he was commanding.

Yuffie sighed softly and put her head on his shoulder again, shivering as the cold wind picked up and blew through the night sky. She looked up at the sky as she watched it begin to fill with massive clouds, the sound of crackling thunder and lightning firing off through the city.
"I...I wish I could go home..." she whispered softly. "I know I can't...but I want to go back to the village..."

Cloud watched the odd, seemingly impossible couple embrace. His gut twisted at the sight of such tenderness; tenderness he would never allow himself to feel. He was already confused as is, he didn't need anymore emotions to make it any worse.
Putting his hands on his hips, Cloud narrowed his mako blue eyes at Vincent. "Me? Anger Tifa? Come on, everything gets that woman mad! But if you must know, she will not throw me out...she might just beat me with a spatula...again." He gently rubbed an unseen bump on his spike covered head.
"She got me pretty good last time...But I'll take you there. Hopefully, Marlene will be around to calm her down."

"I am sorry you had to get mixed up in all of this, but after we are finished here, we can head back to your village. And I know you must not be used to cities like this...but I can guarantee you will like Seventh Heaven. Tifa will be overwhelmed to finally have Cloud bring home a female for her to talk to...And No, that was not a quip at your sexuality, Cloud..." Vincent stopped to stare at the blonde. He smirked slightly at the indignant look the man gave him. Vincent merely shook his head, his chest rising and falling from silent laughter.
Finally composing himself, he looked back at Yufie. In his embrace, he could feel her lowered body temperature and feel her shaking from the cold. Mentally slapping himself for his own unthoughtfulness, Vincent unclasped his cloak and draped it around her shoulders.
Of course, Vincent being much taller than her, the cloak easily dragged along the ground while worn by Yuffie. It also gave Yuffie and Cloud a once in a lifetime chance to see what Vincent wore under his cloak. He wore what appeared to be a black form fitting body suit (baggy in sleeves and legs) tucked into his boots. Against popular opinion, the gold of his boots only covered the tips, the top of them, and he had two gold bands around his ankles; the rest of his boot was in fact black, neatly folded over under his knee. Along with that, he had three evenly spaced buckled straps on his right thigh, connected by another buckled strap.
The top of his body suit seemed to be folded over to close, held together by two columns of four buttons. Around his waist he wore a thick black band with belt loops, two thinner silver belts woven through them. Another thin belt connected to the band, hanging over his right thigh, attached to his holster.
Unlike what most of his companions thought, his claws were in fact detachable. On both arms he wore elbow length black gloves/armlets. The left, however, was covered. On his upper left arm he wore a gold metal armlet. His lower arm is covered by the gold plating that formed the claws and covered most of his arm. On his right arm, the glove/armlet was completely visible. With his shirt tucked into it, he had three buckled straps on the lower part of the glove.
In short, it was certaintly a complex outfit, one that would take hours for the average person to get into, let alone take off. Pulling a few stray pieces of hair out of his shirt, Vincent smiled sheepishly at Yuffie.
Without his cloak to hide it, Vincent's hair was longer than most men they had encountered. Falling all the way to his waist, Vincent was having a difficult time keeping the wind from blowing in his face.
"Are you in the mood for some drama, on Cloud's part?" Vincent asked softly, his voice full of silent amusement. He held his left hand out, waiting for her to take accept his invitation.

Yuffie blushed a bit when she saw Vincent without his cloak on. He looked absolutely amazing...it made her wonder why he'd cover himself up with such a bulky cloak. I suppose the fact that it's so warm would be a good reason... Yuffie thought. She couldn't deny it: The moment the tall man draped the crimson cloak around her small body she had been instantly filled with warmth once more. If she was on a bed she would've fallen asleep if she could. Smiling, she took Vincent's hand and looked up at him hopefully.
"Is Tifa...nice?" She asked him sheepishly. She was curious about this girl they were going to meet, and more than happy that they would be able to get out of the cold.

Vincent met Cloud's gaze nervously before he looked back toward Yuffie. With his cloak on, she did look remarkably warmer.
"Uhm, well...." Vincent scratched his head.
"She is usually very kind to everyone, but when she gets angry, we run for cover. Don't worry though, she only gets mad when Cloud and I do something reckless. She will adore you."
He squeezed her hand reasurringly, letting her know, without words, that everything would be alright.
"It won't take us long to get there, and when we do, you can go to sleep. You look like you have had a long night. For that I am sorry. "

Yuffie laughed softly and squeezed his hand in return. "You don't have to be sorry." She told him. "Sometimes the long nights are more memorable than the short ones."

Cloud stifled his a small laugh with his hand. With amusement twinkling in his odd blue eyes, he replied,
"You can sure say that again, Yuffie." With that, he swiftly and gracefully jumped over the side of the ledge, grasping the rickety ladder as he went.
He peaked his spikey head back over the ledge and smiled mischievously.
"Well, are you two coming or not?" His comment was almost lost to them because in the middle of his sentece, he had begun the long and dangerous climb down the side of the building.
