Vincent was officially scared now. Not scared as in fear, but scared as in, What the hell? Was it even possible to find a person who reminded him so much of himself? "I see you take care of your weapon well....I would hate to see a shooter neglect his gun." Seeing Squall holding his gunblade out to him, he unholstered his own gun, Cerberus, and mimicked Squall's action.

Squall stared at the man, feeling unnerved. For one thing, he seemed felt something familiar about this stranger, like his actions ran along some parallel to his own. For another, he wondered who the man was, appearing not to be a resident or past resident of Balamb Garden, but still familiar with things, such as the gunblade. Another thing that unnerved Squall was the incredible weapon he had drawn out. It was an extensive piece of work and elaborately carved shapes decorated it. He cautiously took the gun by the grip, admiring it as the same action was done for his gunblade. If he had been a sharpshooter, he mused, this would definitely have been his weapon of choice. Sadly, the gunblade had a different function. Its revolver component only worked efficiently in sync with close range strikes, when he fired rounds into his target as the blade sliced through an animal's flesh. He had to admire the dynamics of Cerberus; it seemed like a good weight, judging by its size. Or maybe Squall was just used to carrying a hefty weapon and the Cerberus seemed lighter to him. He gave it a respectful nod and turned his gaze to the man. "Nice gun. You must be a sharpshooter."

The corners of his mouth perked up, his own version of a smile. "Sometimes." He answered curtly. Used to his own personalized gun, the gunblade was a new thrill for him. He could never use such a weapon due to the need for close range and how certain random events brought on his metamorphasis. He would never want a human that close to him during one of his changes. Even he wasn't that cruel. Though not for him, Vincent still admired the gunblade and the owner's obvious courage in using such an unorthodox weapon. "The only gunblade expert here? I am surprised."

The brown-haired man felt a small frown forcing its way to his lips. There was one other person who had used a gunblade for as many years as he did, but he wasn't sure of that man had passed his requirements for his mastery examination. "I know someone else, but I'm not sure if he's filed for his master's. His model is lighter; it requires a different training curiculum." He didn't know why, but Squall found it easier to talk around the stranger. He always found it simple to talk with those he respected. Of course, he hadn't forgotten about Rinoa, but she seemed emersed in their conversation nonetheless. "I've trained with this model for several years. It's hard to handle from its weight, but it deals devastating amounts of damage when used properly." With a final glance a reverent smile, he handed Cerberus back to its mysterious owner.

Rinoa watched, fascinated, as the two men almost mirrored each other in movements and personality. Her eyes kept darting back and forth, making minute comparisons.
"Are you two related or simply connected?" She clapped her hands together. "I bet it was fated! Squall can probably help you find what you seek!" Pausing, she turned to Squall. "That's quite a weapon. I use a blaster edge myself. Anyway, where to?"

"No, we are not related in any way...I have no living relatives. To think, only two competent gunblade masters...I truly have been asleep for far too long." Vincent knew his ambiguous statement would confuse the two teenagers, but he truly did not care. The girl was right though, they did seem almost related. Vincent proceeded to hand the gunblade back to its sullen owner, accepting his own arms back, without realizing it, taking it with his plated arm.

Squall nodded slowly. "Right. First, there's the directory." Regardless of the stranger's comment, he decided to leave his questions at rest. The man walked past his new acquaintances and beckoned them over to the large panel in the center of the pathway. Each leaned closer for a better look of the screen. (OOC: Long explanation shortened to allow for the tour!) "The easiest thing to do to find your way is this map. You can locate any of the different blocks around the school." Starting at the bottom, where the three stood on the map, and going clockwise, the facilities were the Infirmary, the Quad, Cafeteria, Dormitory due north, the Training Center, Parking Garage, and the Library. "We can start at the Library. There're desks in the back where students often study. You can find the most help or informational material there." As he waited so each person could absorb the Garden's layout, he stepped away and started toward the Southeast block, where the library was located.

"This place is enormous. How long have you been here?" She continued walking, spinning around on one step, arms stretched to get a quick view of the area around her. Hair and jacket swirled around her as well, the she stopped to look at the Scarred man. "I wonder if you know somebody I know who goes here? His name was Seifer. It's been a long time since i've seen him." she watched him curiously.

When she asked him the first question, he answered, "I dunno. Since I was eight, I guess." When she asked the second question, he grumbled, "Yeah, I know Seifer." Then he raised his voice. "Seifer's the other gunblade wielder here. I'm not sure if he's around, though."

"It's okay, i'm not looking for him right now." She looked almost hesitatingly around. "I hope he's doing alright. He tends to be agressive, but he's really not that bad. You're awfully quiet Vincent." Looking up, she said to Squall "And thanks for the tour. I think i'd like to speak with your instructor. They should be able to give me information on SeeD. I need thier help. Are you familiar with Timber?"

She's pretty talkative, the loner thought, but it didn't bother him. He never he would have expected to talk so much himself in one day. "Quistis Trepe might be able to help you with information. If you're looking to hire SeeD, you'd better talk with Headmaster Cid. He's in his office right now, but Instructor Trepe might be able to get you an appointment to talk to him." He led them into the library, where massive shelves sat, brimming to their edges with tomes and colored texts. He saw a noticeable change in Rinoa's behavior. The mysterious man, however, seemed indifferent. In fact, he didn't seem that much willing to talk anymore. He might've been lost in his thoughts at the moment. Sounds like something I would do. He smirked.

It is him...somehow, he is different than the others...
"I was just thinking, that's all. Squall, do you have something personal against the other gunblade master? You seem rather bitter toward him." Vincent's crimson eyes glowed ominously. He could feel the way Squall had tensed up when the man Seifer had been brought up. Is he the one who gave him that scar...?
It seemed logical to him. Why else would he be bitter toward the gunblade master....unless it was something even more personal?

Squall massaged the bridge of his nose, albiet carefully because of his scar. It was a souvenir he had recieved in a recent battle, a face-off with Seifer. However, he had given Seifer a scar in return, so it didn't seem like he should still be angry at him for that. It was more that:
"Seifer and I have a long history. We don't hate each other or anything. We're just rivals," he stated evenly. It was a fact, nothing more.

Vincent remembered only bits and pieces of his last 'rival', if he could truly be called that. Although Lucretia had chosen Hojo over him, he couldn't help but think of the man as his rival. That is, until Hojo had killed him in cold blood.
"At least all you received was a scar...some of us aren't so lucky." He answered quetly, his voice monotonous.
"I hope you didn't just let him mark you and do nothing in return." Squall had the opportunity to strike back. Whereas Vincent had never seen the bullet coming. There was nothing he could have done to stop it from hitting him and ultimately changing his life. He looked over casually at the younger man, watching him massage the spot on his face where his obviously new scar lay.

So he got that from Seifer? How could he! I'll yell at him, at the very least. Rinoa knew Squall wasn't going to appreciate what she wasn't going to do, but she was going to do it anyway. She seldom didn't get her way. Though kind and compassionate, she had a very wide stubborn streak. Walking up to Squall, she used her index finger to gently trace the scar. It was very new indeed. She rested her fingers on his cheek. "I didn't know Seifer could be so mean. But you're Mister tough anyway, I doubt you mentioned to anyone until they asked. It's hard to miss y'know?"
