Finally in Midgar, splitting ways almost immediately, Liath sighed with relief.
Do I warn Cloud of Sephiroth's plan or allow events to run their course? d**n! I hate getting caught up in situations like this...I never know what is the right thing to do...It is too difficult...
Liath was in deep thought as she followed the rather large group ahead of her. She recognized the Vincent character, having seen him in the campsite with Yuffie and Sephiroth, but the rest were all new to her. A blonde man with an odd tattoo seemed to have the most cheerful aura, but underneath the surface there were signs of loneliness and despair. The brunette beside him was also an odd sight for her. The girl was surrounded by a pale blue aura, which was odd for any human being. Of course, Vincent gave off the same dark brooding aura that hid all of his emotions. The other three members of the group were extraordinarily strange to her, however. They were certaintly not here when she first came through here; she would have noticed. Vincent must have met them somewhere after he had left their group, saying he had a sudden, overwhelming need to go to Balamb gardens. The one man who piqued her curiousity was relatively similar to Vincent in a way she could not place. Even from far away, she could see his dark hair and scar running across his face. His leather pants clung suggestively to his lower body, and by the way he walked, he was trying not to show that he knew it.
The red lion creature beside them also drew her interests. He looked as if he were talking to the others!! She was hoping she had finally found someone she could relate to.
Finally, the slight, delicate woman in pink, seemingly leading the group. She was indeed different than the rest. Innocent indeed, Liath knew the girl was more than she seemed and was probably someone Sephiroth would be interested in immensily.
Following the group, hoping they would lead her to something relatively interesting, she lost herself in thought. She saw the group occasionally spread and tighten, attempting to look smaller than it was, obviously trying to fool Shinra guards but if they did not notice a girl with a tail and longsword following them, a meeting with Shinra would be inevitable.
((OOC: Sorry guys, but to explain how she knows they are all ..."different", I used auras. Just think of it as normal humans being normal and other having a few slight rifts in them....Hey, she had to know prior that Aeris and the rest were "off".))

(OOC: Gwah, this characters in multiple places is weirding me out. If Liath and Vince are in Midgar all of a sudden then wouldn't it be only right for Yuffie and Sephiroth to be there too? And weren't they going to find Cloud with AVALANCHE first? I know we don't have a Cloud right now...but this is just bugging me. >_<))

(((OOC: Just move smoothly with it if you can. Have this blank space of time between then and now, and have yourself coming in through another Sector or something, maybe a showdown with Shinra, a little mayhem, but let's at least have a little peaceful dinner or something, or else we'll be jumping everywhere without a real interest. If it confuses you a lot, you could always think of it as a different story altogether, and we just have lazy Nick to wait on That, and we do need a Cloud soon, or else we'll be saying stuff like, "It looked like a spiky blond guy just walked into the bar. Let's go chase after him!" Thus will begin a useless venture because he feels like he's being followed and escapes just before the characters enter, thereby making it a wild and crazy piece of nothing for a bit. What? Me, cynical? I think not! But anyway, I'll stop boring and insulting now. Didn't mean to, but it sounds that way and I can't reword it well enough. My apologies.))) Cait Sith parked his moogle outside by the mailbox, leaving him on autopilot survelliance while the robotic cat entered the house and stood on the countertop, intent on helping with his tiny form in any small way he could. He scampered away when Zell, calling it unsanitary for the cat to stand his dirty feet where they would cook, shooed him away and the cat went, silently, to rest by Red, Nanaki, in the corner of the room. In a split second, he stood back up again, pardoned himself from Red's company, and went to investigate the second floor with curiosity. Meanwhile, as Zell and the rest were waiting for their tasks, Squall finally stapped out of his distracted daze and registered Rinoa's inquiry. It wasn't something he really thought about. Odd. He couldn't remember anything about it. It was just some fact in the back of his head that his mother died before he could remember her. There was a thought in his head that his father had been gone at the time, and assumed dead, Squall was left with no one but his sister. Funny, thought, he couldn't remember her name at the moment, nor her face. And she was only a few years older than him at the time, so who took them in? He never really considered thinking about it. He probably had, a long time ago, but he ignored it for some long, until now. His face fell into a thick scowl, which it always had when he would begin to contemplate things thoroughly, and muttering only a slight "Hm" to Rinoa, he leaned against a wall and began wondering why there were blanks in his memory... (OOC: By the way, if you're wondering, all you FF8 fans, Squall is an only child. I'm leaving this a mystery for the sake of the character. He's not supposed to know who "Sis" is because of this side effect of GF summoning, and his parental relations are deeply involved in the story only after he becomes a SeeD, of which the exam hasn't taken place for him right now. Get it?

"Well, welcome to my home..." Aeris said quietly to everyone. "It seems that my mother is gone for now...perhaps she'll be home later tonight. I know she works part time somewhere downtown...although i'm not sure where exactly. Normally she's home by now." She pondered the idea for a moment, then sighed. "Ah well, let's not let this bother us. Let's make some food!" Laughing softly, she made her way over to the cabinets and pulled out bags of vegetables, as well as various seasonings and other items from the refrigerator next to the cabinetries.

"All right, then," Zell said, rubbing his bare hands together excitedly. He had done the courtesy of taking off his gloves and shoving them wrist first into his back pocket. Now, they just had to decide what to make out of the options they had. 'Hm... maybe some curry... or salads... or something... actually tasty...' The drying vegetables and other assorted ingredients didn't seem the freshest to him. If he only knew how good of a condition they were in, on an average scale in Midgar's market...
"Maybe you can lead, Aeris. Not sure what this kitchen's capable of making." He tried to sound polite, regardless if the suggestion seemed rude. He hadn't intended as much.

Aeris laughed softly. "It's alright: I think I can handle this. I know these vegetables are a little bit dry...but we can steam them and they'll be much better." She opened up another cabinet and pulled out a plastic bag filled with small grains. "I can cook some rice for us as well...but we don't seem to have any meat in my house today. Sorry everyone. But we can still have a feast even without that.."
She pulled a knife out of a drawer and began chopping up vegetables on a clean cutting board.

((OOC: I am back, my lovelies!!! I manages to go through Miami, Jamaica, Mexico, Haiti, and Grand Caymen without getting a sun burn!!! GO ME!!!! And as to this whole Cloud discussion, I will see if Nick will split the character with myself until we have a steady person who wants to RP him. And yes, on the account that they werew headed to Midgar and Sephy kinda made it a point that they were to hurry, I put Liath here, checking things out, assuming the others are here somewhere as well.))
Vincent watched the happenings in the kitchen with mild interest, his crimson eyes flicking over Aeris' swift movements. His eyes rested on Squall's sullen form. The boy really needed to have some fun...or else he would inevitable end up like him.
"Is there any service I may assist you with, Aeris? My domestic skills are certainly not up to par, so I warn you not to send me to do laundry and such." He asked, his voice low and slightly mysterious as it lilted in an odd way at the end of his words. With that, he bent to one knee and held his head low and awaited her order. He did not know why he had just shown such submissive behavior, perhaps it was the undeniable feeling in his gut that something horrid would inevitably occur to the mild-mannered woman before him. He felt compelled to humor her perhaps for one last time.

Liath's eyes lit up with delight as she saw the group enter a secluded, meager house. The only thing that made the house seem cheery were the numerous plants surrounding it; they made the place seem almost alive with all of the mixed energies. Smiling mischeivously, she sprinted toward the house and leapt into what looked to be a living room window. She sat, her breathing slowed and her face blank, waiting for someone to notice her presence. In the fading sunlight her yellow eyes glowed eerily in the growing darkness.

Whilst everyone was busy, asking Aeris for permissions to do as needed, there was a slight chill that ran up one man's spine. It was barely noticeable, and he caught a motion and a shadow at the window. It seemed lucky that Rinoa has not noticed it, her back to the window. Slowly, he pushed himself off the wall, muttered for Rinoa to be ready, and he casually paced towards the cooking area, pretending to reach across for something to divert the whispered warning to Zell, their backs also turned to the window, where their short exchange couldn't be seen. Squall moved off, heading for Cait Sith's moogle, moving around the rail to walk upstairs. If his luck was good enough, there was a window facing the front...

Liath sighed, her lips forming a slight pout on her usual insanely happy face. It was her usual mask she used to hide her true emotions.
Her growing boredom was quickly washing away her carefully constructed facade. She was amazed that not one of them had noticed her by now... As soon as the thought crossed her mind, she caught a glimpse of a dark-haired man in leather pants move stiffly toward the tatooed blonde. Any normal human would have trouble hearing his whispered words, or even notice he had whispered for that matter, but Liath was no average human. With unnaturally keen hearing, she heard the warning issued.
Ah, so they aren't as dense as they appear... She thought with excitement. As the dark haired man moved toward the steps, she saw a scar running along his face in full clarity. Without realizing her movements, she shivered, knowing that whatever had caused his scar had permanently damaged much more than his face. She didn't know why she felt any emotion towards the man; perhaps it was because he was the one to sense her presence, but she doubted it immensily. Their was something about him, something she recognized from before her run-in with Shinra and the start of her experiments.
((OOC: HAHAHA!! TerryShadow, I love you soooo much!! And yes, as to why Liath recognizes Squall somehow....well, he did say he had a sister he couldn't remember.... I figured something like that would tie both of the casts of characters from the two games together more. ))

The One Winged Angel sat high above the strangers in the rafters of the Church. Something.....is familiar.......about this place.....I feel a presence that I have not felt for sometime......could it be.....an Ancient?!? he thought to himself as he huddled peering down at the strangers using his super hearing and super sight to make out exactly what they were talking about. I wonder which is the Ancient.....and which is my puppet?.....he looked and spotted Nanaki Ah my fellow experiment........he assimilates well....I believe he will prove of worth now....best to keep to the shadows for now.......

Zell remain calm, casually shifting his share of vegetables to the pan Aeris held for him. He didn't want to alarm anyone, and no one needed to know about Squall's warning. As the martial artist poured cooking oil where he was directed to, light feet padded down the steps. Zell wordlessly excused himself for a moment, casually washing his hands and moving out of the way of Vincent and Aeris. Cait Sith had recieved the heads up while investigating an upstairs room, and his descent on the stairs was the preparation cue Zell had been waiting for. He didn't reach for his gloves just yet; he knew he could slip them on in record time before charging out the door. He gave a glance to Vincent, who barely made eye-contact with him, and he knew the man had caught on to their alertness.
Squall was glad that an upstairs window was facing the front of the house. He noiselessly pried it open and glanced out, only to see the edge of the roof obscure the door step. One leg after the other, he crept silently out onto the roof, careful not to create a disturbance with his footing. He could now see the back of someone sitting on the first floor window sill. Gunblade already drawn, the specialist jumped down, having spun before landing to face the stranger, his gunblade grazing the sill surface to alarm the intruder for her attention, and sternly stepping beyond her reach for any reaction she might have, he stood poised to fight.
"Who are you?" was the demand.
Zell heard his cue and bolted out of the house, Cait Sith almost hot on his heels. The martial artist was already glved and ready. He took his spot out beside Squall, trying to keep the person cornered to the wall with him and Cait on either side and Squall facing her head-on.

Liath heard the sound of metal scraping behind her, and with her keen hearing, she heard the swift footsteps of one within the house. Stifling a yawn with her hand, she relaxed against the side of the window pane, her legs on the other side of it so she could see the men on both sides of her, both in and outside of the house.
"Oh goody, you finally realized I was here...It took you all long enough. And, if you must know who I am, I suggest you give me an interesting reason to tell you."
Before anyone had time to think, Liath rolled sideways out the window, landing in front of the brunette. Crouched close to the ground, she deftly drew her sword, her tongue flicking along the edge as she did so, inadvertadly showing glimses of her fangs.

"Dont touch the Ancient" a voice said from above as A silvery flash dropped down from the ceiling and black boots connected with Liath's chest sending her sprawling, just then the figure whom had just floored her, who had long silvery hair as it was the only thing that caught the light, sped off again into the rafters.

Squall blinked in surprise, while turmoil was let loose inside Aeris's house. Zell had his face covered, flinching the entire time something had happened. Squall could barely registered what he had seen: what looked like a blood-thirsty warrior woman had just been knocked back for no forseen reason. He wondered if something had truly occurred, but maybe he had blinked at the wrong moment. He blinked on purpose to clear his vision and kept both eyes trained on the woman, who appeared to have stumbled from an attack.

Quickly leaping back to her feet, Liath shouted angrilly,
"Moron, the Ancient is neither of these two! SHE is inside!! You had no right to hit me...and you daid animal instincts were useless....PAH!" Glaring at the spot where the silver-haired man had left from, she regripped her sword and positioned her feet.
Turning her gaze back to the brunett, her gaze softened automatically and she had no idea why. She felt something familiar from him, but she did not know what.
